Welcome

With many areas of Morecambe being upgraded significantly for the benefit of future generations we at Abacus Day Nursery are here to ensure the proper development of today’s toddlers in these their formative years so that they themselves are sufficiently equipped when older to become that next generation of adults.  It is a huge responsibility for both the parents and for Abacus Day Nursery and it is our conviction that singly we will not succeed, it is only via working together with parents and with the interest of the child at the forefront of our minds at all times that we will prepare them for what life has in store.

We hope that you will confidently join us in this demanding but hugely rewarding and pleasurable task.  As responsible, realistic parents you will be aware already that these are the vital years when your child is at their most vulnerable mentally and physically.  It is essential that you get it right; there is after all no second chance.  At Abacus “it all adds up” first time, so problem solved!  It cannot, though, be over emphasised, the absolute starting point is with you the parent and, as the result of the loving background already created, the child comes to Abacus secure in the knowledge that this will continue and of course it does but in tandem with a carefully planned programme of early development when they learn basic skills and how to integrate with other children some of whom may have different ethnic roots.  So here they also start to appreciate essential tolerance and understanding of the other person’s point of view.
